AB ProgettiAB Progetti
AB Progetti is one of the leaders in vacuum devices production.
The company has over 70 years of experience making steam jet ejectors and vacuum systems, supporting partners' production goals with long-term customer satisfaction and strong after-sales service.
Its success rests on continuous improvement of reliability and product efficiency, alongside a focus on safety.
Steam Jet Ejectors
Steam jet ejectors have no moving parts. A high-pressure stream draws in air and other vapors or liquids at lower pressure, then discharges them at an intermediate pressure.
- Booster ejector of a three staged vacuum system for refinery
- 1st stage ejector of a two staged vacuum system for desalination plant
- Spare nozzles for ejectors in nuclear power plant
- 2nd stage ejector of two staged vacuum system for desalination plant
- 2nd stage ejector + start-up ejector of a two staged vacuum system for desalination plant
- 1st stage ejector of a two staged vacuum system for desalination plant with start-up ejector
- Booster ejector of three staged vacuum system for refinery
Vacuum Systems
Vacuum system ejectors can be used in series or in parallel to cover a wide range of operating conditions and reach lower absolute suction pressures than a single stage unit.
- SINGLE STAGE EJECTOR
- 3 STAGED EJECTOR WITH INTERCONDENSER BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD STAGE
- 3 STAGED EJECTOR SYSTEM WITH INTERCONDENSERS
- 2 STAGED EJECTOR SYSTEM WITH INTERCONDENSERS
- 4 STAGED EJECTOR SYSTEM
- 2 STAGED EJECTOR SYSTEM
- 5 STAGED EJECTOR SYSTEM
Gland Condensers
Gland condensers are small heat exchangers that condense steam leaking past the first shaft seals of a steam turbine.
They keep steam from escaping toward the bearing housing, which helps prevent water from building up in the lube oil system.
They maintain a slight vacuum, typically 2 or 3 in-Hg, in the outer seal section to stop air from entering the turbine.
Heat Exchangers
Heat exchangers are static units that condense vapors and steam using a cooling fluid.
In AB Progetti designs, cooling media typically flows through the tubes while the shell holds the steam or vapors being condensed.
With no moving parts, they offer low maintenance cost and steady operation where corrosion is not a concern, and they run quietly.
- stainless steel
- special alloys like Incoloy or Hastelloy
- copper alloys
- titanium
Liquid Ejectors
Liquid ejectors differ from steam ejectors because they use a liquid as the motive fluid. They are venturi jet devices in which the liquid speeds up as it passes through a narrowing mixing chamber.
Thermo Compressor
Thermo compressors are jet pumps that reduce losses of low-pressure steam. They suit vacuum processes such as evaporation and drying, and they can also serve as heating pumps at or above atmospheric pressure.
- Diverse fields of application
- High safety operation (no moving parts involved)
- High Reliability
- Low manufacturing cost due to the simplicity of design
- Low maintenance cost
