ARUDRAARUDRA
Arudra Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and part of a Chennai-based IGP group. It is professionally managed, with strong financial backing and experienced staff, and aims to deliver services on schedule and at reasonable cost.
It is described as one of India's largest providers of cleaning, advanced NDT inspection, RLA inspection, and maintenance services for pipelines, boilers, condensers, and heat exchangers at power plants worldwide.
Chemical Cleaning
Positioned as a leader in chemically cleaning high-pressure boilers, pipelines, and equipment at power, petrochemical, and refinery plants across India, with over three decades of experience.
Skilled staff, pump skids, valves, and piping allow turnkey execution. A technical services wing analyzes scale types and recommends solvents, and mock cleaning can be run in a lab. Where heating is unavailable at greenfield sites, boilers from 1 ton/hour up to 20 ton/hour (330°C superheated steam at 17 kg/cm²) can be mobilized.
Helium Leak Detection
Introduces an advanced inspection method for finding leaks in the negative-pressure parts of steam condensers, where air ingress is a major cause of vacuum loss.
Air coating the tube surfaces lowers heat transfer, while higher backpressure raises dissolved oxygen in condensate, causing deposits and lost generation and higher fuel use.
Finding and fixing leaks early improves condenser performance, so vacuum systems should be kept well maintained.
Retubing
Provides complete retubing for heat exchangers, coolers, and surface condensers, covering both U-tube and straight-tube designs. Services include tube removal, tubesheet preparation, new tube insertion, flaring, bell mouthing, and tube-to-tubesheet welding to customer specifications.
Experience spans many tube and tubesheet metallurgy combinations. Tube replacement can be partial or full, and the company can supply tubes and deliver turnkey retubing.
Heat Exchanger Maintenance
Offers comprehensive heat exchanger maintenance across industries, with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Scope covers the maintenance process levels below, along with preparation of documentation such as MOS, JSA, and final reports.
- Scaffolding erection and removal
- Blinding and De-blinding
- Opening and closing of equipment
- Bundle pulling
- Tube cleaning (internal and external)
- Ring Test, Tube Test, Shell Test, and various NDT tests
- Hydro Test
- Joint inspection with customer or third-party agencies
- Documentation preparation such as MOS, JSA, final reports, etc.
Anti Corrosive Protective Coating
Employs SSPC-certified blasters and painters and SSPC/NACE Level II coating inspectors to deliver corrosion protection, backed by advanced blasting, spraying, compressor, NDT, and dehumidification equipment. Further details are on a dedicated coatings website.
Expertise covers coating of condensers, U-tube heat exchangers, rotating and static equipment, structures, pipelines, and spools.
- Full-length condenser tube coating
- U-tube heat exchanger coating
- Static & rotating equipment coating (Condenser, Cooler, Pump, Tank, Vessel, etc.)
- Other protective coating applications
- Structural coating
- Pipeline coating
- Spools coating and more
Bullet & Shell Side Cleaning
Cooling water often causes heavy tube fouling, reducing heat transfer and equipment life. Bullet cleaning is a fast, economical, safe, and environmentally friendly method used by power, refinery, and petrochemical operators. The company has over sixteen years of experience, has cleaned more than 15 million tubes, runs projects at seven to eight global sites at once, and can clean during partial isolation.
Spring-loaded cleaners (bullets) are fired through fouled tubes from specialized water guns at 10–15 kg/cm², scraping off deposits and scale. Flushing water carries away the debris, and the bullets are collected, cleaned, and reused.
Bullet & Shell Side Cleaning
A multidisciplinary firm with strong expertise in industrial cleaning, inspection, mechanical maintenance, and project contracting. It has extensive experience in hydro jetting (water jetting) for many industrial uses.
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure plunger pumps driven by electric or diesel engines, customized to each project, for descaling and internal cleaning.
- Cleans pipelines or tubes to their fullest capacity
- Prevents damage to equipment caused by rust formation
- Superior to traditional rodding techniques
- Reduces emergency drain problems
- Minimizes the risk of business downtime in commercial facilities
Dry Ice Cleaning
Dry ice (CO₂) blasting works like sand, bead, or soda blasting by accelerating media in a pressurized air stream to clean surfaces.
Because the dry ice sublimates on impact, it leaves no secondary waste beyond the removed contaminant. The method is fast, safe, non-abrasive, and environmentally friendly.
Eddy Current Testing
Provides comprehensive eddy current testing (ECT), a non-destructive method for finding defects in non-ferrous tubes in heat exchangers, coolers, and condensers used in power, petrochemical, and refinery sectors.
ECT detects surface and near-surface defects such as fatigue cracks, stress corrosion cracks, and subsurface flaws to about 6 mm deep, as well as pitting, MIC damage, support wear, erosion, and material discontinuities in new tubes.
The method is fast, sensitive, versatile, and reliable. It follows ASTM Section V, Article 08 and Appendix 1 for non-ferromagnetic tubing such as stainless steel, titanium, copper, brass, and cupronickel. Equipment includes INSIS-EC & EX and MS-5800 multi-frequency ECT systems with software for acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
