FABRIC EXPANSION JOINTS

Fabric expansion joints can be built in round, square, or oval shapes and in any size. A metal frame fixes the joint to the duct, and the fabric absorbs movement and mechanical and acoustic vibration. Multiple layers handle sealing, pressure shock absorption, insulation, temperature reduction, and mechanical protection. Flow plates reduce turbulence, and convectors release heat so the sealing layers stay within their temperature limit while the steel parts stay relatively cool.

MULTI-LAYER METALLIC BELLOWS

Metal expansion joints offset pipeline length changes caused by temperature differences and absorb vibration from pumps, motors, compressors, and turbines. They can handle axial, lateral, and angular movement. DEKOMTE makes stainless steel bellows in single-wall or multi-wall designs. FLEXIBLE HOSES

DEKOMTE stainless steel corrugated hoses are flexible, leak-tight piping components resistant to pressure, vacuum, temperature, corrosion, and wear. They suit nearly all fluids, gases, and pumpable solids. A PTFE liner can be added for aggressive media or to create a non-stick inner wall.

PTFE BELLOWS

PTFE bellows combine strong corrosion resistance with high flexibility. They work with a wide range of chemicals and absorb repeated thermal expansion in pipelines. Mersen manufactures these products.

RUBBER BELLOWS

Rubber expansion joints handle axial, lateral, and angular movement and are available with molded rubber flanges or revolving steel flanges. Single-convolution bellows use various rubber compounds reinforced with high-tensile nylon cord, or with Kevlar or fiberglass layers for pressure containment.
