OBERON

Oberon is not just a manufacturing company, we are an engineering company that develops electrical safety solutions.

The company takes part in national standards committees and has experts working to improve its Arc Flash PPE line, with a mission to protect workers while adding value to employers' safety programs.

ARC FLASH SUIT KIT

Electrical safety requirements determine the right Arc Flash PPE, and higher risk assessments call for higher arc ratings.

The NFPA uses four Arc Flash PPE categories to classify ranges of arc flash hazards.

  • 01 PPE 1
  • 02 PPE 2
  • 03 PPE 3
  • 04 PPE 4
  • 05 PPE 5

ARC FLASH COVERALLS

Arc flash coveralls are most commonly made from flame-resistant (FR) cotton or nylon.

They are designed to protect against electrical burns and flashes from contact with energised equipment, unlike standard industrial coveralls.

ARC FLASH AND ELECTRICAL GLOVES

Arc flash gloves are flame-resistant, but not all flame-resistant gloves are arc flash-rated.

They are used for maintenance, de-energizing electrical panels, and work on hot engines and machinery.

GAS EXTRACTION SUIT

Natural gas or propane leaks can accumulate and ignite into flash fires, so workers must be extracted quickly.

Based on instrumented manikin testing to ASTM F1930 at Aitex Laboratory in Spain, the Oberon GES™ Series Gas Extraction Suit is offered in 8 and 15 second versions.

The suit uses a balaclava and coverall design with a harness port so only the lanyard sits outside the suit. It should be worn with a radiant heat shielding SCBA and multilayer heat protective gloves.

GAS EXTRACTION GLOVES

Gloves are tested according to ASTM F1930 standards for 8 seconds.

Made from lightweight, durable Aramid fabric for workers who need protection from prolonged natural gas fires.

ARC FLASH ACCESSORIES

Accessories such as drawstring bags and kit bags help workers carry and manage PPE at the job site, supporting compliance and extending gear life.

Items include bags for helmets, gloves, visors, balaclavas, and tools.

SAFETY LOCKOUT

A virtual training world lets trainees practice shutting down, isolating, and controlling hazardous energy on machinery without real risk.

Instructors can build unlimited scenarios, including typical and unexpected developments.

ARC FLASH BALACLAVA

Meets ANSI / ISEA 125 Level 2 Conformity and Arc Flash PPE Category 2 standards with an 11 cal/cm² arc rating.

It is designed to be worn with an arc flash faceshield and hardcap, safety spectacles, and ear protection.
