Tyco International plc was a security systems company incorporated in the Republic of Ireland. Its operational headquarters were in Princeton, New Jersey, and it had two main segments: security solutions and fire protection.
On January 25, 2016, Johnson Controls announced a merger with Tyco. The merger was completed on September 9, 2016, and the combined company was renamed Johnson Controls International plc.
